Last week was the letter "Q" Was that hard or WHAT? I didn't have a single set that began with the letter "Q", but I just happened to have ordered a set from Papertrey Ink the week before for my Friend Tess for her Birthday.. She helps me a lot with my Blog and other varies sites.. I'm HTML illiterate..lol I wanted to make her a card with the set before I sent it to her.
So the set is called "Quilters Sampler" She is really into making quilts and I thought this would be perfect for her to make some handmade gifts cards to give out with her quilts. I'm not a quilter so I did my best with my card.. Not to shabby.. This is also the first Birthday card I have made this year for anyone. I'm really behind..

I stamped the quilt squares onto some scraps of DSP in Bashful Blue & Pretty in Pink and I punch some squares from a piece of Chocolate Chip DSP using the 3/4 inch square punch! Then I layered them onto a piece of Whisper White and then onto a piece of Chocolate Chip. You can't have a quilt without stitching so I stitched around the quilt squares and along the piece of DSP with Blue Thread.
I really need to stitch on my cards more often.. It's gives them a very nice touch! Then I added some Bashful Blue Brads in the corners and I stamped the Thread image in Pretty in Pink and the sentiment over it in Chocolate Chip.. Here is a picture of the back it has a very cute stamp you can sign you name on.

If I was a quilter I would so keep this set for myself! It's adorable.. It's not a Stampin' Up! Set but it's cute and there wasn't a SU set that began with "Q". These stamps stamped very good once I got the hang of them. I'm not a big acrylic stamper.. The didn't bleed and I loved how they were packaged perfect for gift giving! So in a way this is a Hybrid card.. Stampin' Up and Papertrey Ink!
