Hybrid Card..

So I've joined the masses and purchased a Circut Expression.. I have to blame it on Provo Craft for coming out with a Very cool Patriotic/Military cartridge called Stand & Salute.. When I saw that I had to have one.. So I shopped around and found a really good deal. I purchased a Hello Kitty cartridge as well.. Who doesn't love Hello Kitty.. I have been a fan since I was little and when we lived in Hawaii I loved the Sanrio Store.. I was in Love when M.A.C cosmetics came out with a Hello Kitty line earlier this year.. anyways onto the card.

This isn't the greatest picture, sorry about that.. I really wanted to show the embossed polka dots on the background and that took some work. I used my Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1 on a piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped my greeting on the lower right corner with Black Staz On. The Noel is from the Many Merry Messages Set. My Hello Kitty is done in Basic Black, Real Red, Garden Green & Pumpkin Pie.. So Cute!!

I made this for a challenge on the blog Christmas Stampin' all year long I came across it on my friend Lisa's Blog.. and it looked like fun. The challenge was to create a card with no stamping, using some other type of embellishment. You were allowed to stamp a sentiment but that was it. I also made this card for a swap or I should said I made 13 of these and having just taken the Circut out of the box it was a bit challenging. I'm still a bit overwhelmed with it.. If anyone has any secret tips or trick please share.

This is another Kitty that I made but didn't know what to do with her.. so I will have to work on that. My husbands ship just went out to sea for a bit since leaving the shipyard where it has been for the last 4 years.. So, he is gone and I have some free time to get caught up on challenges this week.

It's time to clear my desk and make another mess!! Hope you are all having a great start to the weekend.. Thanks for stopping by!
