You touched my life..

I thought that was a fitting saying for a Teacher's Card.. This is a swap card I made recently for a Back to School theme.. I had no stamps for Back to School and it was a tough one.. I wanted to make an apple and after several attempts to make one free hand I gave up.. I realized I have a Cricut, so I cut out an Apple in SU colors, Real Red, Close to Cocoa & Garden Green. I sponged all the pieces before I assembled them and added some Dazzling Diamonds to it for some sparkle.

My card base is Basic Black and I stamped the letters from the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet in Versamark and Embossed them in White. I wanted them to look like Chalk letters... This was a tricky process, especially because I made 8 of these.. Here's a helpful hint: Stamp and Emboss each letter separately and let them dry in between. And don't forget to use you're embossing buddy!

I added a piece of Real Red Striped grosgrain and then I stamped my saying from A Rose is a Rose on white with Black StazOn.. I took a black 1/2 inch circle and folded it over the edge and added a silver brad. It's adhered to the card with some glue dots so it would pop up some.
