Friday Mashup!!

Tomorrow is week #14 of the Mashup! and we're doing a Sketch Challenge... I'm giving ya'll a sneek peek a few hours early before it goes live over at the Mashup! Blog.

My project started out as a digital card and then a nasty storm rolled in here and I was unable to finish it.. between loosing power and the internet going down a few times I gave up and went paper..

I also used this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge. I don't know why but I really like combing challenges.. The more the better!

There is a lot going on here.. and let me tell you what I need to find me a new paper cutter pretty soon because I'm about to loose my mind!!! I have a Cutterpede I got awhile ago and wow talk about uneven cuts! I use my Stampin' Up! Paper Cutter for large pieces and I love it! But, I need one for those small pieces too. Any recommendations out there throw them at me!! I'm still cursing out Fiskars for discontinuing mine!

This came out really cute.. and there are a ton of layers on here too.. Just about everything is popped up with dimensionals!

My card base is Chocolate Chip and my circle is a piece of Poppy Red DSP...I cut the circle out using the Circle Scissors Plus. Then I stamped the grass from Inspired by Nature in Pear Pizzazz. Then I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and the small butterfly in Poppy Parade.

I added a strip of So Saffron and a scalloped border of Pear Pizzazz DSP..My Big Butterfly is stamped with So Saffron & Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and then I cut it out and then stamped it again and punched the second one out with the Butterfly Punch.

I layered them so you'd see the antenna and give it some dimension. A cut out another small butterfly that I stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and added a Chocolate Chip Button (retired) with some linen thread in it. Oh and my set is Flight of the Butterfly.. See a lot going on!!

Now get your supplies out and come play along with the Mashup!
