Inkspirations with the Lab..

I finally had some time to stamp this morning and I really liked the sketch from Inkspirations and the colors at The Color Lab.. So, I thought I'd give it a whirl and do them together.

I love this Stamp set " Eat Chocolate" .. And I have a soft spot for Early Espresso these days. When I placed my last SU order some of the newer texture plates were calling to me so I added them . These are great for adding texture to your projects with the Big shot. They are bigger so you can cover more space then an embossing folder and you get 6 designs for a low price.

There is a trick to using them though, if you are using card stock you want to spritz or dampen the card stock first and then lay it onto the plate and continue with the correct sandwich for the Big shot. You will get a deeper impression and your paper won't slide all around and become crooked.

It's gloomy rainy here today so my picture is a bit dark, I had some old chunky glitter with hearts in it and I picked some out and added them to my chocolate. They have a shine to them so it was hard to get a good image of it.

I used the Decorative Label punch and the 1 3/4" circle punch. I wanted a bit of brown around my image so I ran the edge of my marker along the edge. I have dimensionals galore on this card.. I think it's a record for the most layers I've ever done.

If you haven't already done these challenges this week give them a try.. I hope you are all having a good start to the week. Our names finally came up on the Respite program , we were on the wait list 9 months and we start with a provider tonight.. I'm so excited!
