Friday Mashup #9 It's a colorful one...

I apologize now if my post has a million typos and my card is crooked lol..  I have two words for ya " Paper Cut" but on my Cornea! Yes, it has to be the most painful thing I have ever experience, hands down! So, I was a bit handicapped making my card and writing my post...

Anywho it's Friday and time once again for the Friday Mashup! We're on #9 and Lesley is up this week with a great Color themed challenge I like these colors.. but I had to really think about how I was going to us them. My card is also for this month's So Shelli Contest, it's all about Birthdays for June and this makes a great B-Day Card.

I broke out a set called Choo Choo, I love this little train set! I started with a white card base and then I used a scallop circle punched from some scrap paper and with a sponge and Turquoise and Pacific Blue inks I made my sky.. I added some Daffodil for the sun.

I tore another piece of scrap paper in a hill shape and sponged some Chocolate Chip ink to look like a path or a road and then using the Matching Tracks Wheel I made a place for my train to a I stamped the train images on white with the coordinating colors and then I cut them out and popped them up with Dimensionals.

For my sentiment I stamped the individual letters from the Calendar Alphabet onto a piece of white and then I cut each one out into a cloud shape. Now, I did start this before my eye injury today. No way could I of done this I glued them down using some tombow multi purpose glue, LOVE that stuff!! I layered it onto a piece of Pacific Point Blue and then onto a daffodil Delight card base.. I left the inside blank to write  a message.

Make sure you head over to the Mashup Blog and see what the rest of the Design team has created this week.. and welcome our Guest Designer for June.. The fab Carrie Gaskin! I hope you'll link up and join us this week.

Okay I need to get off the computer, even though I'm not looking forward to going to sleep and waking up too see how it feels in the AM.. I'm totally freaking out lol .. I'll keep you posted Eye doctor said it wasn't a really bad cut but I did cut it Have a great weekend and I will see ya Sunday or Monday!
