Hybrid Scrappin'

For my son's year end Teacher Gift from the class they are putting together a scrapbook. And each Child is to submit a 12x12 page for the teacher and the Asst. Teacher. I'm not a scrapper! I will yell it from the sky I'm not a scrapper and never will be! Especially any size over 6x6.

So I thought I'll use my MDS and see what I can come up with. I don't have a printer that's 12x12 because that would of been so easy.. So I did a 8 1/2 x 11 page and thought I'd add it to a 12x12 and then spruce it up a bit.. After several hours and a long fit with the printer I finally got it to communicate with my MAC.. See this already started off bad.

This AM I started the page and I spent several hours and came up with nothing.. Lots of layouts and nothing! So, I just said you're running out of time do SOMETHING!! To the pre-made layouts I went..

I just popped a photo into the already made layout and then added a journaling embellishment and typed what I wanted it to say and then printed it out on my home printer on photo paper. I could of used Whisper White but I used Photo paper.

Elvis wanted to make them a picture as well so I used that to fill in the extra space on the 12x12 page.. I really need to get some 12x12 card stock.. I only had black and pink.. I placed my dimensional on the back so that I can slip another piece paper along the side like a pocket..

I mounted his drawing on another piece of card stock I think it was 8 1/2x 10 1/2" .. Then I added the ribbon as a pull tab. Overall it came out pretty cute, for being rushed and I was having a fit the whole time because I just don't like scrapping! What can I say either you have it or you don't! The gift of scrap that Oh and I cheated a bit and made the same page for both Teacher and Asst. but I changed the greeting on it..

So, there you have my first hybrid Digital Scrap page.. I liked to say it will be my last but you never know!
