Thank You Teacher...

How many days does it  take to write a post? For me 2 lol... I mentioned I'd be back to show you the Cards I made for the teachers and I got tied up... I've been writing this since yesterday morning.

I saw this card here on Kimberly's Blog and thought the card was adorable so I CASE'D it, adding my own touches to it of course. I ended up making 5 of these and putting a $5 Starbucks card inside, they came out really cute but were very time consuming!

I started with a Crumb Cake base and then I used the Wood Grain background stamp in Crumb Cake and rounded the corners. I cut the Black card stock about a 1/2" smaller around, so it would show more of the wood like a chalkboard. Then instead of putting the teachers name on the front I just die cut the letters from the Go Go Boots Alphabet to say Thank You.

For my pencil, I punched out a Yellow, Pink and Crumb Cake Word Window and then I trimmed them and layered to look like a pencil. For the tip I just colored it with a black marker.

For my apple core I used the Round Tab punch on some white card stock and then I sponged it with some Vanilla Ink.. Then I punched another tab out of Red and tore the edges to give the layer a rough texture.. After my ink dried I added the seeds with a black marker.

On the inside I cut out a Top Note and using my slit punch I was able to attach the Gift Card.

That's it for my Teacher gifts... I hope you are having a great week so far and are looking forward to the weekend! Don't forget to stop  over to the Friday Mashup Blog and enter our Fan Favorite Challenge where you get to pick the Mashup! I'll be back tomorrow with my card for a new Friday Mashup Challenge.
