Friday Mashup #17

Wow It's Friday again already? This week flew by it seems... I've  just been crazy busy with a million and one things and my stamping has gone to the back burner. I'm hoping to get caught back up this weekend. I did get some swaps finished up so I will be posting those in a few days. But in the meantime it's Friday and time for the Mashup!

This week is a special challenge, it's our first ever Fan Favorite Challenge... The fans choose the challenge idea from several that were submitted. Teresa Kline was the winner and her Challenge idea was fantastic!

This week's Challenge is a Color Combo of Red, Black and Turquoise Mash'ed up with handmade flowers. I'm not very good at creating flowers, I struggled for a few hours. But once I figured it out I was on a roll and I can see lots of these rolled flowers in my future.

These came out great! I started with a Turquoise card base and some retired DSP. I think the Background Stamp I used on my base is French Foliage. I punched out the scallop border from Turquoise and then I added some Red Grosgrain ribbon. There are 3 Rhinestones along the top edge and the Sentiment came from the retired Hostess level 3 set Occasion Quotes. And you didn't think I'd make a card and NOT stick a Butterfly on it did ya?

You'll want to head over to the Friday Mashup Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team has created for this challenge and Teresa's Card. She made some really cool flowers on her card. We hope you'll link up and play along with us this week. I hope you have a great weekend !
