Friday Mashup #21

Well I had a post for you yesterday but I got to cleaning just about everything in my house and the day got away from me. But I got a lot of stuff done so I was pretty proud of and I was putting everything that's outside away and figuring out how to tie what's left down and get ready for Irene to roll through. I just wish I had a garage to store my cars I just know a tree will fall or the street will flood. We are at the bottom of hill next to the Bay so it's not looking

I've got my Mashup card ready and I'll save that other one for the weekend. This week it's Lesley's turn and she has a great Clean Sketch... I'm all into this clean stamping lately! She has mashed it up with Dry Embossing. This is a great sketch!

I made a card similar to this a few days ago in Pink and when I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to use the Manhattan Flower embossing folder which goes great with the Fifth Avenue Floral set. I think that has to hands down be my favorite SU set ever!

I stamped the Rose on watercolor paper in Black and I colored it in with Wisteria Wonder and Basic Grey Markers & my Aqua Painter. I love this color combo.. Wisteria Wonder is a new In Color and it's a nice lavender with a slight grey undertone.

My card base is Basic Grey then I added a layer of Wisteria Wonder and then I embossed a piece of textured Basic Grey with the Folder and trimmed it to the size I wanted.

I took a strip of Wisteria Wonder and using my scoring board I made some lines and then I stamped my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I actually goofed and flipped my paper and when I added it to my card as you can see I put the wrong side face The goal was to have the lines come into where the sentiment started and they did on the other side that I covered with the Rose.

After I cut the Rose out I spritz it with some Smooch in Vanilla for some sparkle.. But I can say that I didn't like it after the fact, but I spent so much time coloring that Rose in I used it If you click on the image below to enlarge it you can see the shimmer.

I added the strip with my sentiment and then some of the new ruffled In Color ribbon.. I so Love this ribbon! The rose was added, just about everything has Stampin' Dimensionals on it. I added some Pearls to tie in the shimmer from the smooch.

This card is also being entered into the So Shellie Creative Challenge for August. So when you have a chance head over to the Friday Mashup and check out what the rest of the Design team had made this week and then Stop over to Shelli's Blog and see what others have created or enter your own project.

Have a great weekend and to everyone on the East Coast ... Stay safe and Dry!
