Paper Lovin' Gals #7 !

Happy Turkey Day!! I hope everyone is having a great day so far and you have lots of Family & friends around you today. My family was up at 9am and out the door to see the Muppets.

It's Thursday and time for another great challenge at Paper Lovin' Gals.. This week we're on challenge #7 and it's all about Thanksgiving!

For the first time I made a 3-D project.. I know shocking right? lol I seem to never make a 3-D project for a challenge. I made some super cute Table settings for Thanksgiving. I created a turkey from the Create a Critter Cartridge from Cricut and then I made a Bag with Scallop from a Sizzix die. I put some Trail mix inside the bag for each person, this would be great as a hostess gift.

I used the colors, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Basic Black & Always Artichoke. My chipboard letters were all from a different font another great way to use of left overs. I used a craft spot to add some color to it and then I just glued it with some tombo mono adhesive.

I sponged all the pieces before assembling them and then I stamped Happy Thanksgiving from teeny Tiny wishes and trimmed it into a banner. I had a piece of texture card stock and I used that for his hat and then the body piece I had some card stock that I had ran through the bigshot with a texturz plate. This gave the body some texture as well.

Here you can see how I attached the turkey to the scallop part of the bag top and then I adhered it with dimensional adhesive.

I needed a way for the bottom to stay closed but without needing to be ripped apart when you wanted to open it so I glued the back of the paper side of the dimensional and then when you close it the sticky part sticks to the paper and just pops right up.

Here is a side view of the cello bag inside.  So your challenge is using the photo above for inspiration make any type of craft project you'd like and link up.. We can't wait to see what you create using the inspiration photo.
