Friday Mashup #35

It's time for another Friday Mashup Challenge this week our newest Design Team Member Rita is our Hostess! She has us shaking  things up and creating a Shaker Card with a Winter theme. I think everyone will have lot of fun with this one. You can do so many different things with a Shaker card. I also used the sketch from the Sweet Shop as well, I love Sketches like these!

There is a lot going on with this card... I also used the colors from this week's Color Q  for my project! How can you resist blues & winter? I know I have to make another card with this color combo!

Now let's get to my card! I started with a Night of Navy base and added a piece of Sahara Sand that was Embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing folder and my Big Shot. The another layer of Night of Navy and Sahara Sand. I stamped my Snowflakes in all the shades of blue from the Challenge and Sahara Sand on a piece of Whisper White and Sponged the edges.

Then I punched a hole out of the front with a 1 1/4" circle punch and then I did the same from some scrap Navy with the 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle to make a fram for my hole. Then using some foam adhesive I made the little Shaker area and filled it with a great glitter mix I have called "Ice Queen" . I used some more Dimensional adhesive and I adhered it to the piece of Sahara Sand I had made a mat with.

I added a strip of Bashful Blue and stamped the Sentiment from SU's Teeny Tiny Wished in Night of Navy and then I added a Snowflake button with some Hemp Twine. So cute! I really like these colors together.

Make sure you head over to the Friday Mashup and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week and be sure to stop by the Sweet Shop for a new Challenge on Saturday and The Color Q , they put up a new challenge every Wednesday!

Have a great weekend!!!
