Friday Mashup #36

And yes it is COLD outside.. at least here in MD it is! But I love it, this is the weather I have been waiting for.... It's Friday, Friday, Friday and time once again for another great Friday Mashup Challenge... This week's Hostess is Kim and she has a Chilly yet Colorful challenge for us.

Your Challenge this week is to create a project featuring a Snowman with the colors: Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze and Basic Grey.  Or you can make just a Snowman project or something just using the color combo... Totally up to you!  I've used this week's Sketch over at The Sweet Shop for my card as well.

I started with a Basic Grey card base and then a layer of Baja Breeze that I embossed with the Snow Flurries embossing folder using the Big Shot and then I sponged the edges with some Whisper White ink and I added some faux stitching lines with a white gel pen. Then some scallop edges out of Basic GRey and a piece of Blushing Bride DSP. The little strip of Basic Grey has some more faux stitching lines on it.

My sentiment is a retired Rub On and then I just trimmed up a piece of Baja Breeze and layered it onto a Basic Great Oval both sponged with some more Whisper White. For my Snowman Image I stamped him in Basic Grey onto a piece of Whisper White. He's from the Inkadinkado set called Holiday Words. Then I ran the image through the Big Shot using the Square Frame embossing Folder.

I added some color to the snowman image with my watercolor brush and the matching ink colors. And then I torn the image out to give it some texture. Super cute if you ask me! To get the white snowflakes on the Baja Breeze area you just drag your ink pad over the raised embossed image.

Head over to the Friday Mashup and See what the rest of the Design Team created this week. We hope you will get some time to play along with us... And be sure to stop over at the Sweet Shop on Saturday for a new Sketch!
