Friday Mashup #45

It's Friday and time for a fun Friday Mashup challenge... Lisa is our hostess this week and she LOVES Penguins! Her Mashup this week is to use the spotlighting technique. This is my favorite technique, you can do so much with it!

My project uses a Non SU set, How cute is this penguin? I started with a Wisteria Wonder card base and then I added some Pink Pirouette and Cherry Cobbler. The colors are from the Color Coach.

I stamped the penguin image onto Whisper White with some black in and then I matted it onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder. The Cherry Cobbler piece behind it was embossed with Polka dots. I stamped the cupcake part of the image again onto a piece of scrap white and punched it out using a 1 1/4" circle punch. I colored that part of the image in and mounted it onto a 1 3/8" circle of Cherry Cobbler. I added some dazzling Details to the frosting!

I stamped the Sentiment "YUM" onto a piece of Pink Pirouette with black and punched it out using the Word window punch. I placed it along the edge of my card and trimmed the edge off. Then I used a Jelly Bean Brad from the Occasions Mini, on the opposite end.  This came out so cute and I love the color combo!

Head over to the Friday Mashup blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week. We hope you'll play along with us. Have a great weekend.
