Friday Mashup #47.. Let's get "Kissing"!

It's Friday and time for a new Challenge over at the Friday Mashup! I'm the host this week and I decided to bring us a Technique Challenge!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :

  1. Make a project using the "Kissing Technique".

  2. Or Make a "Round" project.

  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Round project featuring the Kissing Technique".

The Kissing technique is one of my favs... The sky is the limit on what you can create with this fun technique! We're also Mashing it up this week with a Round project.. I didn't do so well with the "Round" part of the Mashup but I rounded my corners... does that count?

I love how this card came out.. It's so cute! I started with a 4x8 piece of Soft Suede and folded it in half for a 4x4 card. Then using my circle cutter I created a 3 1/2" circle and a 3 1/4" circle. I picked my color combo from the Color Coach... Soft Suede, Regal Rose & So Saffron.

I was in a bit of a cupcake mood... or maybe just a Birthday mood! I stamped the sentiment from Delightful Dozen in Soft Suede and then I stamped it again in Regal Rose and cut out just the Happy Birthday part and layered it over the Suede. I also added some Dazzling Details to it for some sparkle. I stamped the cupcake from Create a Cupcake in the same colors and punched them out with the Cupcake punch.

I used the texture stamp from Sweet Scoops with some Regal Rose over my Cupcake icing to give it a multi color look. I also used the same stamp on the cupcake base. I added some White Twine and a button.. Did you know you can get two looks from your buttons but just flipping them over and showing the other side.  Head over to the Friday Mashup Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week.. We can't wait to see what kind of Round project you create the week and we hope you'll join us.
