Paper Lovin' Gals #18

Well I was back for a bit...lol My son is still pretty sick, I took him back to the doctor today and his cold has turned into pneumonia. He has Asthma and anything like this turns into something really bad. So when he gets sick, he gets really sick. A script for some Antibiotics and he's on the mend. I think I've been to the hospital at least 8 times since last Sunday.

I missed Paper Lovin Gals Challenge #17 last week with everything that was going on. But I'm back today with Challenge #19 it's all about Love or the colors of Love! This inspiration photo has some great colors in it... You could take this in many different direction.

For my project I went with the colors, Crumb Cake, Real Red & Pretty in Pink and a touch of White. I found a cute design on Pinterest and I based my card off of that.. I used the new Heart Farmelits Die, LOVE these!

My card base is Crumb Cake.. Using the smallest Heart die in the Framelits set I cut out the Hearts in Real Red & Pretty in Pink. *Tip: I was able to cut through 2 pieces of SU card stock at once with these.. 3 was way too much. With DSP I was able to cut through a layer of 3 with no problem. This might be helpful if your are making multiples of a shape.

I glued the hearts down with my 2- way glue pen and then I stamped the sentiment from P.S. I Love you (Occasions Mini Catalog) in Black ink.  I wanted there to be some white on here somewhere so I did a faux stitching outline with my gel pen.. as you can see I don't do well with straight lines without a T-Square. But it's still pretty cute if you ask me!

So what is your inspirational jumping off point from this photo? Head over to the Paper Lovin' Gals blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week.. We hope you will join us!
