Teacher Appreciation!

So, last month I believe it was Teacher Appreciation week and normally I'm prepared well in advanced.. well not this year. I'll admit it I blew it!

For my youngest who's in the 1st grade we participated in the class gift for the teacher which was fine... each child made a scrapbook page and they all got put into a book for the teacher and she got a nice bouquet of flowers as well. I used my Digital Studio and whipped up a page and sent it off to be printed.

Both of my children being Special Needs they have other teachers and faculty that they work with like therapist etc and my son loves to hang out in the Nurses office..lol So, I like to make something for them as well. No time this year as I mentioned so I made sure I was ready for the last week of school to make up for it!

With the help of Pinterest for ideas... I found some cute S'more stuff on there and thought, I can make that my own! So, using My Digital Studio I printed out some tags and Stamped a S'more on it.. This set is available in MDS too so you could just add it to the tags and print.

These came out so cute!! At first my bags weren't working as I had planned but you know all the backing cardboard from SU DSP? Keep it! I was able to make a insert for the bag that worked perfectly.

Inside each bag I put 4 squares of Graham Crackers, 2 mini Hershey bars and 2 of those cool square Marshmallows. I packaged the marshmallows in separate bags so they didn't make the cookies soft.

It was a S'more making factory in my house last night.. But they came out great! I need to get some more supplies and make the rest for my other son's school. Last month I was able to get something together for his teachers..

I saw the cute "fish" items on Pinterest and made my own printable. I made it so I could punch the circles out with a 2 1/2" circle punch.

I used some Swedish Fish in a cello bag with a tag and some ribbon.. Very cute and the Teacher's loved them.. They even asked for the printable!

I've have both of these available as JPEG files you could print out.. if you'd like one just send me an email or leave a comment with your email address.

I tried to print out the one that's floating around for a Coffe card holder but it didn't work too well.. I had to reopen it in MDS and shrink it some. I think the one on Pinterest is 5x7 and that was too big. Here is my version...

I put the printout onto a piece of Kraft card stock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then I made a slit in it where I could slide the GC inside kind of like a pocket using the two pieces.. Then I ran some Crumb Crake CS through the Paper Crimper and added some Bakers Twine. I fought with that for hours it was ugly..lol
