Well I went just a little MIA.. Sorry about that. Just a lot going on and not enough time in the day and somethings get put on the side..
This week I'm mashing up the Mashup with the color challenge over at Create with Connie & Mary.
I'm the host this week at the Friday Mashup and I'm bringing us a Triple challenge. There's a Sketch to Mash up with some Butterflies and then use your Brayer.. You know that thing that's been in the bottom of the drawer for ever. And with every Mashup you can just do one of those things too if you prefer.
Here is the Color Challenge from Create with Connie & Mary.. This is a great combo!
I started with my card base in Marina Mist and then I took a piece of Whisper White and I Brayer'd (how do you spell that?) Marina Mist all over it then I went in along the other edges with Not Quite Navy. I wanted my outer edge to be a bit darker so I used some NQN on a piece of Sponge around the very edge.
I ran the Whisper White piece through the Big Shot and embossed it with the Houndstooth folder to give it some texture. Then I Die cut the Butterflies from Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist & Not Quite Navy.
I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials onto a strip of Whisper White in Marina Mist and I trimmed the edge to look like a banner. I gave everything some dimension with Dimensionals and pop dots.
Head over to the Friday Mashup and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week. We hope you will join us. The Linky will close on Wednesday at 6pm EST. The Create with Connie & Mary Link is open until Wednesday at 12pm EST.
Have a great Sunday!
