Multi Challenge Mashup!

Well it's Tuesday and I'm late getting this Friday Mashup card up. Time is not on my side these days and internet that's sporadic doesn't help either.

I've Mashed up this week's Friday Mashup with this week's Create with Connie & Mary Challenge. I'm not 100% thrilled with my card. I changed it up a few times and now I think it's clutter. I should of just went with my first idea. Oh well.. It's still cute!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

1. Make a project for a "Baby Shower or a Baby".
2Or Make a project using the Colors "Pool Party, Real Red, So Saffron & a Neutral".
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project for a "Baby/Shower using the Colors listed above".

Using the colors from the Friday Mashup Challenge I started with a Crumb Cake card base and I embossed it with the Lattice folder in the Big Shot. I was looking for a fabric feel at first then I changed it up..lol I originally had quit squares in place of the pinwheels.

I created the Pinwheels with the Die in the Challenge colors using DSP and then I added some Pool Party Ruffles Ribbon and a Safety pin. For the Sentiment I stamped the Hello, Baby from Sweet Essentials with Pool Party and punched it out with the Modern Label punch. On the ends I added some of the metal buttons in the kit with the Safety pins.

Simple but Cute! Make sure you head over to the Friday Mashup and see what the rest of the Design Team created the Challenge is open until Tomorrow at 6pm EST. And if you hurry you can still create something for Create with Connie & Mary the challenge ends at noon EST tomorrow. What are you waiting for get over there!

Happy Stamping.. Thanks for stopping by!

  4. Oh, pinwheels are perfect for a baby card! Love the colors...great job with all the challenges. Thanks for playing along with the sketch challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary!

  5. I like the little pinwheels for this sketch. Maybe something lighter for the ribbon element - linen thread or baker's twine would take the weight off the top of the card. It really is a cute idea for a baby card. I'm so glad you joined our challenge this week at Create with Connie & Mary.

  6. I love the little pinwheels! Very cute! Thanks for playing the Create with Connie & Mary challenge this week!
