FM137 It's a Krafty kinda Love!

Yay.. I'm finally caught up on my Design Team projects!!! This last one was a doozie though! Erica is our hostess at The Friday Mashup this week and she's having us mashup Kraft & Gingham. The challenge is running for 2 weeks so we can have some time off for the Holidays. That means there is lots of time to join us.

So I started with about 3 different cards and nothing was coming together the way I wanted so I ripped and pulled and revamped over and over, hen an idea hit me!! I created a wreath...I have no idea where the idea came from or how I was going to use it with the card base I had at the time.

I die cut a circle using the Circle framlits and some thin cardboard backing. Then I used a 16"piece of Burlap ribbon that I cut in half up the center to make two long strips. I wrapped the cardboard piece using hot glue to secure the ends.

Then I created some flowers using a small circle punch and a small flower punch from some Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant & Crumb Cake. I also added some leaves from the leaves sizzlit in Old Olive. I fought hard with the tiny pieces and my glue gun but I was determined..lol I added some pearls to the center of some of the flowers as well.

I due cut the LOVE from the expressions thinlits in Melon Mambo and then adhered with some tomboxwmono adhesive and a tiny bit of hot glue. I didn't like the card base I had with a piece of Gingham DSP on it .. so I started over and created a Elegant Eggplant card base and then I added a layer of Crumb cake that I embossed with the woodgrain folder using the Big Shot.

I adhered the wreath with some Hot Glue after I added a piece of the Gingham DSP for my ribbon. All the little flowers are adhered with Hot glue as well. It came out pretty cute I think.. Not something I would normally create.

Thanks for stopping by again today.. You can see my MDS Monday post below and you'll want to head over to the Friday Mashup Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created with this challenge.. We hope you will join us!
