'Tis the Season #5 We're seeing Stars!

Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Thursday!!! It's time for a new challenge at 'Tis the Season and Christmas is fast approaching us... it's time to get moving on those cards if you are a procrastinator like me..Ha Ha

We're on a Sketch Bi-Week with an Option of adding in some Stars. I didn't have any sets with just Stars or the Star punches.. So I dug deep and I found the set Pennant Parade, I have no idea to be honest why I have this set in my stash. This is the first time it's seen ink..lol But It's cute, so it will be getting used again.

This is a great Sketch for scraps.. I only cut a new sheet of of card stock for my card base. The rest of the pieces were from my scrap basket! The base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Cherry Cobbler which I adhered the Season of Style DSP scraps too. Then I added a piece of Silver Glimmer paper and some Old Olive Glitter Brads.

I really liked the look of the Glimmer paper strip so I added some to the tree as well. I stamped the tree shape onto some Old Olive in the same color ink and punched it out with the coordinating die. Then I added it to a Whisper White Circle that I matted with some more Old Olive. I stamped the tree base in Crumb Cake and then I added some twine to it and the Merry sentiment as a Tag.

For the Star I stamped the image onto the back of a piece of glimmer paper and cut it out by hand. I wanted to use the Glimmer paper to look like garland so I added little strips with some tombow mono adhesive. This came out so CUTE!!

I hope you all have a Great Thanksgiving and be careful out there on Black Friday if you are venturing out.. We are in the mist of crazy Snow Storm (we're on day 3 of Snow)..So I won't be going to far. Head over to the 'Tis the Season Challenge and see what the rest of the Design Team created and we hope you'll join us.. The challenges are open for 2 weeks so there is lots of time.

Thanks for stopping by!
