Friday Mashup #148!!

Whew it's Friday, I'm sooooo ready for Saturday to get here!! It's been a while since I've been able to create a project for Friday Mashup.. This week our hostess is Lynda and she's created a very fun challenge for us.. We're Mashing up Hexagons & Triangles!

I also used the new Sketch from Create with Connie & Mary

I started with this piece of DSP I've had on my desk for awhile. It's left over from a My Paper Pumpkin kit a few months back, the little triangles are perfect for this challenge. I pulled the colors from the paper the card base is Basic Black and then I added a layer of Calypso Coral that I embossed with the Honeycomb folder. Then I added the DSP matted with a piece of Black.

Using the Large Scallop Edgelit I created a Pool Party Scallop and then I added some Calypso Coral Baker's Twine along the top edge. I stamped several Hexagons from Six-Sided Sampler set in Crushed Curry, Black, Pool Party & Calypso Coral and punched them out with the coordinating punch. I popped some up with dimensionals. Then I added some candy dots and rhinestones. I've been going crazy with the rhinestones lately. You always need some bling in your life though right?

Head over to the Friday Mashup blog and see what the other Design Team members created this week.. The Challenge is open until Wednesday the 26th @ 6pm EST. The Create with Connie & Mary Sketch challenge is open until Wednesday @ 12pm EST.

Happy Stamping!
