Grungy Hive for Dynamic Duos #90!

Happy Saturday!!! I hope everyone is doing well and your not all snowed in. It's time for a new Challenge at Dynamic Duos and this week it's "Black Tie" We're using Black & Daffodil Delight with a Dessert Option of a Shaped or a Fun Fold card.

I've been seeing a lot of projects using stencils lately and I wanted to give it a try. I created my own stencil using the Hexagon Hive thinlits from the Occasions mini catalog and a window sheet. Once I ran it through the Big Shot and has my stencil I used a sponge and some Daffodil Ink to create my background. I also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.. I think I may need rehab from this set. lol I stamped the Thank You from Lots of Thanks in Black. And added some Rhinestones.

I added the white layer onto a full white based card with dimensionals and then I added the Butterflies from the Butterflies Sizzlit. The yellow one is from a piece of Daffodil Delight DSP and the Black is just card stock.

I'm loving this Grunge look... Head over to the Dynamic Duos challenge Blog and see what the other design team members created this week and join us! We've love to see what you can create with this fun color combo. The Linky is open for 2 weeks and will close on Thursday @ 12pm PST.

Happy Stamping!

  7. Ooh--love that you created your own stencil. I've been meaning to try that for awhile. The honeycomb looks great for this colour challenge, especially grunged-up!
