It's Thursday already?

Where has the week gone? Sorry for the lack of posting this week.. I was on top of it last week! My carpal tunnel was acting up on Sunday & Monday and It's just been a bit busy.

I have a Stamping event I'm going too on Saturday in East Syracuse and I've been prepping my swaps.. it's only 16 but dang did they take forever!!!

I used a technique I learned in the Online Card class for Watercolor that I'm taking. Tasnim Ahmed showed us a technique for Faux Hand-Painted images and I loved the look of it, her sample in class was gorgeous.

I also used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.. This is a full card I created for myself then I had to create 16 card fronts for my swap.

The card base is Smoky Slate then I added a piece of Watercolor Wonder DSP from the Occasions Catalog.  I added another strip of the same DSP in the Daffodil Delight color and then a Banner with the sentiment from "Another Thank You" in Tangerine Tango.

I stamped the Brush Stroke & Flower image from "Happy Watercolor" onto a piece of Whisper White in Daffodil Delight and Black. I punched it out using a  1 3/4" circle punch, making sure to cut part of the flower off. Then I colored the stem with the Gumball Green Marker.

Than I stamped the flower onto a piece of Watercolor paper in StazOn and colored in with my Aqua Painter and some Tangerine Tango & Daffodil Delight reinker. You Add water to the petals then drop a tiny bit of water onto the wet paper and let the color spread, keeping the ink concentrated where you want a darker shading.

You want to work on each petal separately.. I was doing several of these at once so I did 2 opposite each other then let them dry then went back and forth..Building the color up. Once the Tangerine was dry I added some Daffodil Delight to the centers. Then fussy cut the flower out and adhere it to the circle over the original image using tombow green lid glue.

I adhered the circle over the banner and then I felt it needed something extra so I added some Pearls. I took a sheet of our basic pearls and using the new Blendabilities markers I colored the pearls to match.

This came out so pretty.. I was tedious but so worth it!

Thanks for stopping by today!
