More Watercolor fun...

I'm still trying out techniques we learned in class. This is faux hand-painting.. Sooo much fun! And how cute is this elephant image.. I know I'm using a ton of "contraband" lately but what can I say.

The image is Bella with Balloons from Wild Rose Studio and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s newest photopolymer set Endless Birthday Wishes. What a fun set.. this a must have!

I stamped the image onto a piece of watercolor paper in Smoky Slate.. then using distress markers and a Aqua Painter I colored the image in. When you use Stampin' Up! inks they move a little with the water so it helps blur the lines a bit.

This is such a fun technique.. I need more practice at it but this wasn't so bad for a first  time shot at it. I added a very light blue wash to the background for the sky and then some brown for the ground. On the balloons I added some wink of Stella in clear but it's hard to see.

The card base is Basic Grey with a later of Daffodil Delight cut into a banner shape with the sentiment on it. I tied a piece of Pacific Point ribbon around the end.

Thanks for stopping by again today!!
