Online Card Classes Day 3...

I'm cranking the cards out this week.. and I'm caught up on my Design Team projects too. I might not want to say that out loud I'll jinx myself..lol Today is Day 3 of the Watercolor for Card Markers class and we are stamping with Watercolor.

I went with the technique were you stamp the image with the ink then spritz it with water before you stamp onto the paper. This is a hard one... Seems you need to have just the right image for this to work well. I broke out my retired SU set Gently Falling.

I tried stamping on a piece of Whisper White and it didn't work well so I re stamped it on a piece of watercolor paper and had better results. I stamped the solid leaf image in Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze spritzed it twice while on the block and stamped it onto a piece of dry watercolor paper. Then for the green leaf I used Crushed Curry & Always Artichoke ink.

Once they dried I went over them again with the outline stamps in this set. I stamped one in Cajun Craze and spritzed once and then the other in Always Artichoke and spritzed as well. I like how they are still defined but soft.

After the leaves were dry I added some splatters with my water brush and a small amount of watered down ink on it in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze. I wanted a bit of sparkle so I added some gold splatters too.

For the Sentiment I die cut t he Thankful from the Expressions thinlits from a piece of gold card stock and then I stamped "for you" (Lawn Fawn ~ Let's Roll) onto the end of a piece of Vellum and embossed it in Gold Embossing powder. I added the panel to an Always Artichoke card base.

I love how this came out and I think that addition of the Gold platters really adds something extra.. If you don't have any gold paint or spritz.. and you have the Gold Encore embossing pad from the Holiday Mini Catalog in your stash use that.. Smoosh it onto a clear block and then with your Aqua Painter add a few drops of water and mix it around.. Instant Gold Shimmer!

Thanks for stopping by... Hope you're having a great Wednesday!
