Friday Mashup .. thanks!!

This week at the Friday Mashup.. our hostess is Heidi and she's got a fun Watercolor challenge for us. We're Mashing Up a watercolor wash background with a CAS or a project with minimal layers.

I started wit the Watercolor wash then it got crazy... I totally went over board and it's doesn't fit in the CAS or Minimal Layer guidelines lol. That's okay though, what's great about the Mashup is you can do it part of the challenge individually or Mash it Up!

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and added the background with some Distress Inks... in Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn & Peacock Fathers. ( I need to get more SU reinkers!) While that was drying I created a card base with some Crumb Cake and then I added a layer of DSP from the retired "Epic Day This and That" collection. I adhered the watercolor panel and another strip of the same DSP and then I stitched all around the edges and roughed everything up!

I die cut 5 of the "thanks" from the Lawn Fawn Scripty thanks die cut from some White card stock and layered them together for height. Then I added it to my front panel and added some wink of stella over it and then some Crystal effects. It needed a touch more bling so I added some Sequins (just random ones from a craft store) and some small rhinestones. I love this!!!

Be sure to head over to the Friday Mashup and see what the other Design Team members created with this fun challenge and we hope you will link up and join us! The challenge is open until Wednesday @ 6pm EST.

Happy Stamping!
