'Tis the Season #21.. It's a Color Combo!

Howdy, Howdy.... It's Thursday and that means time for a new challenge at 'Tis the Season. This week we are on a Color Challenge and it's non traditional. We've also added in an Optional Trimming of Stencils.

This is such a pretty color combo.. I love how gold looks with Pistachio Pudding or any Mint shade. I created a Pistachio card base and then I cut to size a panel of Very Vanilla. Using some White Embossing Paste (DreamWeaver) I added some Pistachio Pudding ink refills drops and mixed it up until I had a shade I liked. I taped a Chevron stencil (Heidi Swapp) to my Very Vanilla panel on a craft sheet with a palette knife. You want to work in one direction because this is a delicate stencil.. You can see where some of the paste went behind the stencil.

Set that aside to dry and clean your work area and tool quickly because they dry fast..lol Then while that's drying I stamped the deer image from the retired set Remembering Christmas in VersaMark onto a piece of Vanilla and embossed with gold powder and cut it out.

Using some Gold Baker's twine I created a circle and attached it behind the deer image with some glue dots and then I added several pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the chevron panel to my card front at an angel with dimesionals as well and then I added the Deer image piece.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set onto a piece of Very Vanilla in Gold and heat set it. Then die cut it with the Bitty Banners Die set using the Big Shot. I felt it needed a little bit of bling but Sequins were too much so I found these Glitter enamel dots (My Mind's eye)  in my stash and they were perfect.

Head over to the 'Tis the Season Challenge blog and see what the other Design Teams created with this color combo! We hope you will join us.. The challenge is open until Tuesday the 29th.
