Creative Blog Hop!

Happy Monday Y'all I hope you had a great weekend! We headed South 2 hours to visit with family for the Grandfather's Annual Fish Fry. It was great to see family and hang out for a few hours. I really wish we didn't live to far away from everything so we could do it more often.

Today I'm participating in the Creative Blog Hop.. I was nominated by my friend Lisa at Snowy Moose Creations. This is a Fun Hop for the crafty community to help us get to know one another and maybe find a new blog or craft we may like.  Be sure to stop by Lisa's blog and get to know her a little more.

Part of the hop is we are asked to answer 4 questions to learn a little more about us...

What am I working on now? Well my desk is a hot mess and I'm behind on a few projects. I'm currently working on or starring at this project I started for the Friday Mashup.

How does my work differ from others in my craft? I'm not sure you could say how it's different. I think as paper crafters we all have our own unique take on projects. Some are Clean stampers, some like a lot of embellishments etc.. I guess you could say I'm a little of everything. I can make a clean card and then the next time go all out with lots of sequins and texture. I like to try new technique and I'm a product junkie..I want to try it all and I want it all.

Why do I create what I do? I've been into Art most of my life, I was always doing something related to art growing up and it was my favorite subject in High School & college. I used to draw all the time and then I discovered stamping and fell in love with it. It's like the adult version of I needed something to keep my sane while my husband was deployed in the Military and I got back into Stamping while living in Hawaii and never looked back.

How does my Creative process work? It's chaotic I usually start with a sketch or a color combo I want to try and then I find a stamp use with it. Or I will start with the stamp and color then create around that piece. See, I'm all over the place! on occasions I have these pieces that just don't want to come together and I will rip it apart and start over and change things and then finally.. It will all click and come together.

Now that you've learned a little more about me.. I'm introducing you to 2 of my crafty friends and in Real Life Friends.. Tsoniki (Tess) & Terry.

My friend Tess CrazyBull is a fellow Navy Wife and Quilter. We became great friends online in a Military spouse chat and then we met up when I moved to WA state and we've been inseparable ever since! She makes some amazing Quilts! You can see more of her work on her blog Me Being Crafty

"Hi I'm Tsoniki maker of quilts, beadwork, and cute kids. I'm currently living in France, enjoying cheese and delicious pastries.  I'm very thankful for technology, colored pencils, graph paper, the ability to make at least one good friend in every city I move to, and my great kids. I have more WIP (work in progress) projects than I'd like to admit, but part of the joy in creating, lies in the planning. "

My friend Terry Blais and I have been friends since 2004. She adopted me into her Stampin' Up! group when I first moved to WA state and she is one of the most generous people I know, and she loves stamping as much as I do. You can see more of her work on her blog Goin' Over The Edge.

"I started stamping shortly before joining Stampin' Up! as an independent demonstrator 12 years ago. With little kids at home, stamping gave me a creative outlet and was something I could do in bits and spurts. I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind cards to send to my family and friends. I also sell them in an antique mall downtown. It's fun and it makes everybody happy!"

Terry & Tess will be jumping into the Hop next Monday the 22nd.. so be sure to stop by and get to know them more and see who they are introducing us too!

Have a great Monday.. Thanks for stopping by!
