This past Saturday was World Card Making Day and I was creating all day.. I'm finally getting a chance to post my projects. I followed the Winnie & Walter Blog and followed along with a few challenges.. here are 3 of them, I still have a few more to finish!
First Challenge up Was: On Trend Cameras
Lea challenged us to use Cameras in our project. I don't own any Winnie & Walter Stamps I only have a few of their Digital products.. So, I used some Stampin' Up! products in my stash for this one.
This card was so hard for me..lol But I think it came together. I added some grunge to the sentiment area tying it in with the pattern on the DSP. I wanted this to be a masculine card so using some more of the pattern papers I added a couple of banners and cut out some chevrons from the patterns.
Supplies Used
Stamps: Sassy Salutations & Gorgeous Grunge (SU)
Card Stock: Basic Black, Basic Grey, Very Vanilla & Flashback DSP
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Soft Sky & Basic Grey (SU)
Up next Vanessa gave us an Inspiration Challenge:
I may have spent way too much time on this card..lol
I stamped the woodgrain onto a piece of chocolate card stock and embossed it in white. Then I added a little of the white ink and some chocolate ink around the edges. I added the geomatric pieces indiviually, sponging each of their edgges with the same color as the papers. Then Once I had them in place I traced the edge with a chocolate marker to make them stand out more.
For the sentiment using my Silhouette I cut out the Hello from the Winnie & Walter Digital Big Bold & Happy set. Once I had it in place I added some Clear Wink of Stella and then covered it in some Glossy Accents. A few Rhinestones and Pretty Pink Posh Sequins to finish it off.. I really like the final product.
Suplies Used
Stamps: Woodgrain Background (SU)
Card Stock: Solar White 80lb (Neenah), Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride & Crisp Cantaloupe. (SU)
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Blushing Bride & Crisp Cantaloupe (SU).
Extras: Big Bold & Happy Digital cut files (W&W), Sequins (PPP), Glossy Accents (Ranger) Clear Wink of Stella (Zig), Rhinestones (CTMH), White embossing powder (WOW).
And finally Gayatri gave us a Color Challenge!
Another card that took awhile..lol
I created an Ombre' wash on a piece of Watercolor paper using Blushing Bride & Crisp Cantaloupe inks. Then I added some Gold splatter to it and heat set it. Once it was dry I stamped a few Snowflakes in Blushing Bride, Gold & Crisp Cantaloupe.
Then I die cut the Christmas from the Winnie & Walter Holiday Mint Cut files.. this was a Project Life style card. I embossed over it with some Gold embossing powder and then I glued the word Christmas to a piece of Vellum I cut into a Banner. I adhered that over the main panel and added a piece of Blushing Bride card stock with Very Merry stamped on it.
To finish it I added some Gold and Crisp Cantaloupe Sequins... This is so pretty in Real Life. I'm off to work on a few more challenges.. all the challenges are open until the 11th of Oct so there's still time to play along!
