Friday Mashup #188 Silver & Gold!

Well I'm really late with this week's Friday Mashup Challenge project.. But there is still time to join in the fun. The challenge ends tomorrow @ 6pm EST. This week our hostess is Lynda and she's asking us to use Silver & Gold and she's Mashing it up with a Christmas themed project.

I covered all the bases on this challenge...Gold & Silver Galore!

I'm using the Essentials By Ellen collection along with Silver & Gold Embossing powder.. The only ink I used was VersaMark!

I created a white card front and then I stamped the circles from the Bokeh Dots set and embossed them in Silver. Then I added the smaller dot splashes from the Brushstroke Christmas set and embossed them in Gold. I stamped Joy from and embossed in gold as well it's from the Brushstroke set. I did originally stamp the "To the World" over the tail of the Y but once embossed in Silver you couldn't really see it well. So I embossed it onto a piece of white and trimmed it out.

I die cut the Prize Stag from some DCWV Gold Foil paper and added some gold thread behind it. I trimmed 1/4" off the side and added a strip of the Gold Foil paper along the edge as well. I added the White card front to a Black Card base. There is some clear Kool Tak behind the Stag so you can't see the dimension.

Head over to the Friday Mashup blog and see what the rest of the Design Team created this week and Link up! I'm also entering this into the Simon Wednesday Challenge the theme is Holiday/Christmas.

  3. Hey now! I love all these cards you've been making with this deer head. What's with the deer anyway? LOL!

  4. That die is awesome, Holly, and this card is really gorgeous. I always love heat embossing, though I don't do it that often! That's gotta change.
