Hello .. with the Alley Way Stamps!

Hello... Today I have a fun card using some of the February releases from the Alley Way Stamps. Isn't this Moose adorable? He's Free all month with any $40 order. The set is called Moosing You!

I created the scene on a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper using Distress Inks for my stamping and coloring. The trees & birdhouse are from the set Branching Out

You stamp each image in a Distress ink color close to what you will be coloring it in with. Once I created the scene I used a green marker to create the grass area. Then using a damp or thirsty paint brush you drag some of the color in your image from the outline you stamped it in. This worked great for the Trees (Click on any photo to enlarge).

For the other images, once I had a wet area from bringing that color in. I added some more color from an acrylic block that I stamped the Distress ink pad onto. You create a Palette basically, this works if you only have the Distress Markers too. If you only have the markers you color directly onto the stamp and then huff onto it before stamping your images out.

Once I had my images colored in how I wanted them I went over the grass area I created just moving the ink around. And then I added a very small amount of Broken China really wet for my background. It's hard to see in the photo but it looks like there are clouds in the background. You want to make sure you dry everything in between adding new colors, especially the background.

I created a Sahara Sand card base and then I added a piece of Orange polka Dotted pattern paper and some Twine. I also distressed the edges of the Pattern paper and my main image. For the Sentiment I stamped the Hello from the Alley Way Stamps set Spell-Check in Pumpkin Pie ink and cute it out.

Head over to the Alley Way Stamps blog and see some more projects from the Design Team and don't forget to Link up your Alley Way creations all month long for your chance to win!
