Sunday Stamps.. #99

Happy Sunday.. I'm a little late getting this posted today. Slow internet in the boonies is to blame.. but it's working better now so here we go. Its time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps and this week it's a color challenge. We're using soft pastels and the inspiration photo reminds me of summer.

I decide to use the Stampin' Up! set Sheltering Tree. This is such a fun set where you can change out the seasons for the tree.

I stamped the tree in Baked Brown Sugar onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then I stamped the grass in Wild Wasabi. For the Flowers I used some Mama Elephant pigment ink and stamped the flowers 3 times to get good coverage.

Then I stamped the bicycle in Simon Says Stamps Slate and the bike frame in some more pigment ink from Mama Elephant. I adhered that panel to a Wild Wasabi card base. The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped that onto a piece of Wild Wasabi in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in white embossing powder, then I trimmed that panel into a banner and adhered it to the card front. I added a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh in the challenge colors to add a touch of bling!

I used the MISTI stamping tool to stamp my images and line everything up. Stamping is so much easier with this clever tool. I'm entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.. this week it's all about April Showers or Spring Flowers.
