Time for a fun new challenge at 'Tis the Season.. this week we have a color challenge and it's all about Blues! Which is perfect because today happens to be Autism Awareness day and April is Autism Awareness Month. There is a fun Blog Hop going to to Light it Up Blue and show our support!
I'm lighting it up Blue in honor of my son Austin who was diagnosed when he was 18 months.
Get out your Blues and join in the fun and help us Light it up!!
I went with the colors Night of Navy, Soft Sky & Pacific Point and I created a watercolor background using the Smooshing technique onto a piece of watercolor paper.
I stamped the snowflakes from the Stampin' Up! set Endless Wishes and heat embossed them with White embossing powder. Then I smooshed my inks onto a mat and spritzed them with water and dipped my card stock down into it. I blotted as needed and once I had the look I wanted I let it dry.
Then I embossed the sentiment on to a piece of Night of Navy card stock that I trimmed into a banner shape and added another banner from a piece of glimmer paper. The "& bright" sentiment is stamped onto a piece of Soft Sky. I mounted the watercolor panel onto a Navy card base and added some Silver Sequins. Love the look of this in person it's so soft and pretty.
Be sure to head over to the 'Tis the Season blog and see what the other Design Team members created this week and join us.. And don't forget to stop by and check out the Light it up Blue Hop as well!
Thanks for stopping by!
