Who's ready for Christmas? lol yeah me either. But today I have a distressed Christmas card using the Pine Branch set from Two Paper Divas and the Holiday Sentiments set.
This card was trial and error but I love how it came out. Just proves don't give up and toss it, keep going you never know what it will become. I stamped the pine branch onto a piece of watercolor paper using the Pine Needles & Gathered Twigs Distress Markers. Then I added a background wash with some Stormy Sky. I sprinkled some water over the entire image and let it sit for about a minute and then I dabbed it with a paper towel. This removes or lifts the color and the effect it created looks like snow or a Bokeh effect.
I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum using some Ranger Platinum embossing powder. I folded it over the center of the image panel. I die cut the image panel and pattern paper layer using some stitched rectangle dies then I adhered them to a Brown Sugar card base. It needed a touch of bling so I added a few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Head over to the Two Paper Divas Blog for more inspiration and our September New Release has started.. I'll have a card featuring the new release tomorrow for you.
This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you didn't toss it...it turned out beautiful. It's amazing what a little added bling does! Great job!
