Distress Watercolor with MFT!

Happy Friday everyone.. I was able to create one more card today for the card designer contest over at My Favorite Things. I'm using the Gorgeous new set Delicate Pretty Poppies watercolored with some Distress Inks.

I used the current sketch at the Friday Mashup as well...

I stamped the Poppy images onto a piece of watercolor paper in VersaFine Black ink and them I colored them in with Distress inks and a Paintbrush. I had no idea that Pink poppies I was looking for other colors to use instead of Red or Orange and came across Pink ones.

I trimmed the watercolor panel down to size and added the sentiment from the same set. Then I added a Eggplant Mat behind the panel and added it to a Kraft card base. I added a few pieces of pattern paper trimmed into little banners and some twine. I wanted to bring in more of the Black so I added a few Black enamel dots from Doodlebug along the lower bottom.

Thanks for stopping by today!
