It's day 4 of our March release at Newton's Nook and today we have an adorable new Newton Set called Newton's Rainy Day.
I created a Bright background on my card base with some patter paper and then I die cut some additional panels of the same pattern paper that coordinated and layered them all together. I used the Land borders die to cut the Grey polka dot piece on the center panel. I stamped the Newton image onto some X-Press it Blending card stock and colored it in with Copics. I paper pieced the Umbrella and used some Grey Copic's to add some shadows.
I die cut the image using the coordinating die and adhered it over the center panel with some foam adhesive. The sentiment is stamped on a banner and added to the upper corner. I wanted to have something that looked like rain drops so I added a few Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh in 4 and 6mm sizes. How cute is this image?
