Winter Wonderland

Happy Tuesday ... I'm over on the Newton's Nook Blog today with a Darling Winter card featuring the Serene Silhouette. I don't know about you but I'm dreaming of Winter right now with all this heat. I've never been a fan of Summer, bring on the Snow!!! lol

I started by creating an A2 size Black card base and then I die cut a piece of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Distress cardstock using the All Prettied Up die set from Mama Elephant. Then I set those pieces aside and one a piece of regular Distress cardstock I added some Distress Oxide inks to resemble a sunset. I added each color one at a time and dried them each inbetween. Once they were dried I added a few splatters of water and used a paper towel to remove the excess water. This added a Distressed look to the background.

I heat it again with my heat tool and then added some anti-static powder and stamped the falling snow from the Serene Silhouette set from Newton's Nook using VersMark ink and heat set them with Wow Embossing Twinkle Puff Embossing powder. Then I used the Land Borders die set and cut a piece of Neenah Solar White to be a snowy hill. I traced a light circle using the opening and then I added the snowy hill. I stamped the trees and the deer images using some VersaFine Black ink onto some White cardstock and then cut those out with the coordinating dies

I trimmed the Distress ink piece and added it behind the panel with the window. Then I added some Black Fun Foam and adhered it to the Back card base. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Black card stock and heat embossed it in White then I used the banner die in the Garden Window Die set (retired) to cut it out. I adhered it with some foam tape.

And don't forget about the Newton's Nook Retiring Sale.. You can grab some Great sets before they are gone.

Thanks for Stopping by today!!
