Scooting by with Newton's Nook...

Happy Tuesday everyone... I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today with a card featuring the Newton Scoots by stamp and coordinating die set.

I started by adding some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to a piece of Bristol. Then I added some splatters of water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. Then I die cut the Paris skyline and added some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. I adhered that next then I added the Grass layer by die cutting some more Bristol with the Land borders Die and adding some Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink. When I Used the inks I made sure to keep my pressure light so I didn't make the colors too dark, I wanted a pastel look.

I adhered the main panel unto an A2 size top folding card base. Then I stamped the Newton and cloud images onto some X-Press It blending cardstock and colored him in with Copics. I went with colors that were similar to the ones I used in my background. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and I added them with some foam tape. I stamped the sentiment along the edge.

Head over to the Newton's Nook blog for more inspiration from the team.
