YNS Feature Day...Monochromatic

It's time for our Monthly Feature Day on the Your Next Stamp Blog and this month the team and guest were challenged to go Monochromatic.

I love coloring my images in Black N' White but I will say getting the darker Copics to cooperate sometimes is a bit tricky. I used the Out of Frame Scattered Stamping technique that I recently found on IG by Sweet Kobylkin, you can see her post here on how to do this technique. I created a background with a stencil I made from the Puffy Cloud Border dies and some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink. The images from the Fab-BOO-lous Stamp set were masked so after adding the clouds I colored the images in with T Copics.

I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner with some Black Olive ink. I stamped and Die cut one Ghost and popped him up with some foam tape.

Head over to the YNS Blog for more Monochromatic inspiration from the team and be sure to leave a comment while you are there for a chance to win a stamp set of your choice.

  1. Fantastic card! I really love it! Your coloring is amazing! And so is your shadowing too!

  2. I love your card! This is always complicated to make a spectacular monochromatic card. Your layout and the stencilled background make it wonderful. Thank you so much for the shout out, I am happy to see that I inspired you to try this technique. - Sweet Kobylkin
