Happy Wednesday everyone... It's Day 3 of the September Sneaks from Newton's Nook Designs. Today we are sharing a peek at Harvest Tails and it's coordinating die set. I'm also using the new Tree Ring Stencil on my project. This will also be available in the store on Friday.
I started by adding the Tree Ring Stencil to piece of Watercolor Cardstock with some Walnut Stain Distress Ink. and then I added some Vintage Photo ink around the edges. I added some water droplets and picked up the excess with a paper towel. Then I set the piece aside to dry on its own. Once it was dry I stamped the sentiment in the upper corner and adhered the panel to an A2 size card base.
Next, I die cut several leaves from the Autumn Leaves Die set out of watercolor paper. I added several shades of Distress Inks in Fall colors and then I added some Crackle Paint over each leaf. I set them aside to dry on their own as well. Each image was stamped on some X-Press It blending cardstock and colored with Copics. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I adhered the leaves to the tree ring with some mini glue dots and then I added the images over the leaves with some glue dots and foam tape for varying heights. How adorable are these animals??
