I was up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog yesterday with a Fun Birthday card sure to brighten anyone's day!
I created the balloon background with the Ballon Stencil and some Lucky Limeade Distress Ink on Watercolor paper. I like to use the smooth side to get better coverage. Once the background was dry I trimmed off a 1/4" from the left side and then I adhered it to a card base that I added a strip of Rainbow paper along the edge. I stamped the sentiment from the Newton Loves Cake Stamp set using VersaFine Black ink.
I stamped one of the images from Newton Loves Cake as well and colored it in with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut the image out. I added some details with a White gel pen and then I adhered the image over a Black Banner that I die cut with the Frames and Flags Die set with some foam tape. Then I adhered the image onto the card base with some adhesive.
This is such a fun set to play with. Be sure to head over to the Newton's Nook Blog for more inspiration from the team.
