Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release Day 1

It's time for the Holiday Release from Newton's Nook Designs and it's a must-have!! Stay tuned all week as we reveal a new set each day and all of the products will be available in the store on Friday, Oct. 18th. Don't forget to leave comments along the way for a chance to Win a new set each day!

Today we are introducing Two new stencils... Ornament and Light Strings.

We are also introducing Two new stamp sets with coordinating Dies as well...

Up first is Christmas Trimmings.

This is one of my Favorite sets from this release...I love how you can use the images for so many different layouts, by using one or all of the images at once. We have a few other sets like these as well in the store.

I used the String Lights stencil for the background with some Glitter Gel and then I stamped and colored the image with watercolor pens. I added lots of sparkle to the images with a Glitter pen. Then once the images were dry I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Our next Stamp and die set is Holiday Lights...

This is a really fun set to play with as well. I stamped the light images onto a card base first then I stamped the sentiment were I wanted it to go. I used a marker and hand-drawn the lines for the strings. Then I added some Distress Oxide inks around the light images to create a Halo effect for the lights.

Then I stamped and colored in the light images with Copics and cut them out and added some clear sparkle pen to make them shine. I adhered each light over the original one I stamped with some foam tape.

Would you like to win the “Christmas Trimmings”  Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

  17. Great sparkly BG on the first card. I love how you used traditional colors for the packages, but it doesn't really look like a traditional red & green Christmas card. And I love your inking behind the bulbs; very nice glow!
