MDS Monday.. We're going Weekly!!

MDS Monday is going Weekly, Whooo Hoo!!! Each sketch will be open for two weeks so you have lots of time to play along. This week is a Card Sketch... MDS is a very versatile program, you can use it for cards, scrap pages, photo-books, calendar and so much more. These sketches are a great jumping off point to start your project.

I created a Christmas Card using the sketch... It was a bit tricky filling in that square area. I so badly wanted to just fill it in with some DSP. Instead I used several Stamp Sets and created a word block.

Friday Mashup #109... It's a Set!

This week at the Friday Mashup our hostess is Amy and she is challenging us to create a matching set of cards using DSP. This is a great challenge to use up some of your DSP and Scraps you may have laying around.. She also provided this great sketch for us to use!

I started with some Floral District DSP. My card base is Tangerine Tango and a layer of Rich Razzleberry. For my image I stamped the flowers from the Perfectly Preserved set in Lucky Limeade and Rose Red onto a piece of Whisper White. 

Then I stamped the Jar image onto a piece of Vellum in Staz On Ink and cut it out with the matching Die. I added it over the Flower image with some small dots of Tombo Mono Multi. For the sentiment I stamped the words from Bitty Banners onto some more Whisper White in Rich Razzleberry and then I die cut it with the matching die set. I popped it up with some dimensionals. 

These came out very cute!! I was suck for a bit  on what my image was going to be... something I think you can run into when you create your entire project not thinking about the Stamp Set you will use.

MDSM #13.. We're going Monochromatic!

Well it's been forever since I've posted anything.. and this recovery from my sickness is proving to be a slow process. I need a Nap after 30 minutes of activity.. Ha Ha! It's taking me forever to get anything done these days. I did however have this Scrap Page ready on Monday but it's now Friday and I'm just getting it posted and my Friday Mashup project is laying next to me almost finished.. Hopefully I will have that up before too long.

This week at MDS Monday... Rochelle is our host and she created this fun Sketch! And she's asking that we use a Monochromatic color scheme with our page.

I decided to go with a Black & Grey look for my page using some Halloween Photos.

Howdy!!

Did ya miss me? Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks.. We had a sickness strike the house a few weeks ago and it all went downhill from there. 1 kid missed a week of school and the other's illness turned into Pneumonia with some Astma complications and he's been out of school for 2 weeks now and then about a week into their illness I started getting sick and I had to go all in and get Bronchitis. So we a hot mess around here! The kiddos are starting to feel much better and I'm slowly getting there. I hope to be back to crafty this week... after all there are some new goodies from Stampin' Up! sitting here waiting to be ink'd! 

Sunday Stamps... Late again!

I had this done and posted on the Sunday Stamps blog on Sunday and I've fallen behind with my own blog again..

This week at Sunday Stamps Kathya is our hostess and she has created a fun Sketch with a Spring touch to it.

I started with a Crumb Cake card base and a layer of Whisper White and some Crumb Cake DSP. I wanted some texture to the bottom portion of the card so the flowers really popped so I covered a piece of card stock with some Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. 

I die cute flowers in Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight from the Flower Fusion Sizzlit. I attached them with some Tombo Mono glue and then I curled the edges with my tweezers. For the Sentiment I stamped " You are simply Wonderful" from Friendly Phrases in Tempting Turquoise and then I added some Daffodil Delight Brads to the end of my Banner.

FM105 Happy Happy Birthday!!

This week at the Friday Mashup Erica is our hostess and she's bringing us a great Sketch! And we're Mashin' it Up! with a Birthday theme, even better! Who doesn't need more Birthday cards in their stash?

I started with more scraps from my DSP pile.. I love using those smaller pieces up! My card base is Marina Mist and then I added some Summer Starfruit with the Make a Cake DSP. Then I added a panel stamped with the Birthday Greeting from Delightful Dozen with some Primrose Petals and Marian Mist. I wanted to add some sparkle so I put some Dazzling Details over the Happy Birthday. 

It was only fitting to have a tiny cupcake next to the part that said Eat Cake..lol So I cut out a cupcake from the DSP and added some glitter to the heart. The Scallop edge is punched from the Scalloped Ribbon border punch and the I added some Whisper White Bakers Twine.

It's Raining at the Mashup!

Well I'm really late with this past week's Friday Mashup challenge. I'm not going to lie I struggled with this card to the point where I almost just gave up...lol I didn't think I had any stamps with an Umbrella and then I remembered this adorable duck.

Lisa was the hostess and she had us Mashin' Up! Umbrellas with a Z-Fold. I skipped the Z-fold part of the challenge and just went with the Umbrella.

Starting with a Daffodil Delight Card base I added a layer of Whisper White that was embossed with the Cloud folder.. Then I die cut a scallop in Wild Wasabi from the Perfect Pennants Die. I stamped the duck from Easy Events and colored it in with my Markers. Then I added some Daffodil Delight DSP. 

I really wanted to make this card pop so I stamped the umbrella on a scrap piece and cut it out and popped it up and added some sparkle. Then on the duck I added some Crystal effects to make it puffy like. 

It's so stinkin' cute!!
