A little catch up!!

Well my idea of catching up over the weekend didn't happen.. We had some beautiful weather and it was go outside and stay for as long as you can. We've been cooped up inside with all the snow that we will take any nice days we can get at this point. There are still a few more snow days before it's all over I'm sure.

I had a project for last week's MDS Monday I just never got it posted.. There's till time to play along with the fun card sketch challenge.. The Linky is open until this Friday @ 11:55pm EST.

We're are using the above sketch and the Color Match tool.. The goal is to use only colors on your projects from the DSP you select. I created my own text panel with the sentiments from the Endless Birthday Wishes kit and some of the stamps.

Up next is the Mid- Month Sketch challenge at Stampin' Celebration! The Montly Inspiration challenge is still open as well.. Both challenges end on the 28th of April.

I needed a Masculine Birthday card and I haven't used the Lovely as a Tree set yet so I thought this was the perfect sketch to give it a try. I love how this card came out.. All the colors and textures created with the Stamps and Ink. And the rustic look to it.

All SU Supplies Unless Noted :
Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Old Olive card-stock, Soho Subway DSP
Chocolate Chip & Olive Ink/ Markers
Lovely as a Tree & Hardwood Stamp Set, Birthday Balloons set (Simon Says Stamp)
Twine, Designer Naturals Buttons, Sponge Daubers & Stampin' Dinmensionals.

I created some fun Easter Treats for my Youngest Son's class last week. I used a bunny from the Silhouette online store and some SU card-stock. He's class loved them.. each one had a chocolate covered marshmallow egg inside.

A few weeks back I had a class a few hours away for my Aunt's club.. and we created this fun Gum Holder. Using the Happy Watercolor Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

Thanks for stopping by.. I hope you are all doing well!

Dynamic Duos #99

Happy Saturday everyone.. Whew time is flying by these days it seems.. I have a stack of project son my desk that I need to show you but I just haven't had the time.. Hopefully I can catch up this weekend. In the meantime, It's time for a fun new Color Challenge at Dynamic Duos and I'm mixing it up with the Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

It's Black tie week and we're using Black & Rich Razzleberry" with the Dessert option of some Gold. I decided to use the set Perfect Blend & Gorgeous Grunge... Ha Ha you knew I was going to use Gorgeous Grunge didn't you?

My card base is Rich Razzleberry with a layer of Black and then a white panel. I stamped the splashes from Gorgeous Grunge in the background and then I stamped the Coffee cup onto a piece of scrap paper and colored it in with my Blender pen and ink. For the touch of gold I added some Champagne glimmer paper as the cup sleeve. I have one like this from Starbucks that's red glitter it's so fun!

I added the cup with some dimensionals and then I stamped the sentiment in Black onto a piece of white and created a banner shape and added another banner cut from the glimmer paper behind it. For an extra pop I added a few gold sequins with some crystal effects.

The Dynamic Duos challenge is open until Thursday @ 12pm PST.. Head over and see what the other Design Team members created with this fun sketch and Link up!!! The Freshly Made Sketches challenges closes on Monday.. Thanks for stopping by!

Dynamic Duos ... getting Eggy!

Happy Saturday everyone.. I hope this Auto Post works for me today because I will be away from my computer until tomorrow. I get a little Mommy time away.. Whoo Hoo! It's Saturday and that means time for a new challenge at Dynamic Duos... It's a  "Subtly Yours" week and we're using the colors Wisteria Wonder & So Saffron.. and of course if you don't have these colors in your stash you are welcome to use any similar colors from another brand. I also used the current sketch from MoJo Monday

I decided to create an Easter card, but I didn't really have any Easter sets to work with. I think I only own one.. eeek!! I do however have these cute Balloon Die Cuts (Simon Says Stamp) that I thought would make perfect eggs and they did!!!

I started with a White card base and then I added 2 layers of SU DSP in So Saffron & Wisteria Wonder. Then I die cut 3 Balloons and trimmed off the ends to create the egg shape. I colored them with a Blending sponge and So Saffron & Wisteria Wonder ink.

I used some Stencils (Heidi Swapp) to create the dots & chevron patterns on the eggs. I cut a banner from a piece of white card stock and stamped "Happy Easter" using a Alphabet set ( Lawn Fawn). Then I added a piece of SU Stitched grosgrain ribbon along the So Saffron panel...too cute!

Head over to the Dynamic Duos challenge blog and see what the other Design Team members created this week.. The challenge will be open until Thursdat @ 12pm PST. We can't wait to see what you create with these fun colors. The MoJo Monday Linky will close on Sunday @ 12pm MT.

Thanks for stopping by.. I hope you are having a great weekend so far!

Dynamic Duos #97

Well I'd like to say I'm excited it's Saturday but it started snowing in the wee hours of the morning and it's still going strong.. I was so ready for it to be gone and looking forward to Spring. This is the Winter that will never end..lol

It's time for a new challenge at Dynamic Duos and while we had a bit of nice weather I was able to get outside and take a few photos of a my cards. This week it's "Bold & Cheery" and we're using Melon Mambo & Tempting Turquoise.

I have a few stencils in my craft stash that I've been waiting to play with and some embossing paste. So I broke them out and got started. I added a few drops of Melon Mambo reinker to the embossing paste (non SU) and created a shade of Melon Mambo and used it with a Chevron Stencil (non SU).. This was my second time playing with this and it's definitely something I will need to practice at..lol

This is my second version of this card actually... I wasn't super happy with the first one, my crafting OCD took over. Once I let the background dry I added it to a Tempting Turquoise card base and then I created a banner for my sentiment and I stamped the friend from a My Paper Pumpkin set in Melon Mambo. Then I die cut the Hello (non SU) 5 times from Tempting Turquoise and layered them for height. I adhered them with pieces of dimensionals.

I really like the way this came out.. It's different and I love the texture you get with the embossing paste. I wanted a little sparkle so I added a few rhinestones as well and viloa!

I'll go ahead and show you my first one I created..lol the paste is a little darker and there was a weird empty spot it in upper corner.. I don't know I just wasn't happy with it. It was still cute though... Head over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge and see what the other Design Team members created this week and Link up!! The challenge will be open until Thursday @ 12pm PST.

Stampin' Celebration! #77 We're feeling Spring!

It's April 1st and time for a new Challenge at Stampin' Celebration! I've taken over the reigns there and we have a few new Design Team members and a Fresh New Look!

We're celebrating all month long using the following Inspiration photos!

You can use the Flowers, the colors the Bunny etc.. Sky's the limit!  I went with some of the colors and the Bunny. My card didn't come together to easy though. I must of  created 5 different cards with the tag I created and nothing was working.

I ended up with a very non traditional Easter card..lol and I think it's time for me to hide the Gorgeous Grunge set for a bit! I created the tag using a piece of Watercolor paper and my Aqua Painter and Inks. I also used some Masking Fluid to cover the Bunny image so I could color it a different color and keep the tail white.

I added some So Saffron ink to the background of the Tag and splashed on some Chocolate Chip ink which I also used to color in the Bunny. I added some Dazzling details to the tail and the action line. I stamped Hoppy Easter onto a piece of scrap White and created a Banner.

The card base is white and I added some Chocolate Chip images from Happy Watercolor and Gorgeous Grunge  and a few in So Saffron from Gorgeous grunge as well. I sponged the edges of the tag and card base and added some Gold Sequins as well. The tag has a piece of Early Espresso Stitched Ribbon and some White Tule on it.

Head over to the Stampin' Celebration! Challenge blog and see what the other Ladies created.. The Challenge runs until the 27th of April. We'll have a Mid-Month Sketch challenge as well on the 15th.

Thanks for Stopping by!

Dynamic Duos & Freshly Made Sketches!

Whew am I glad it's the weekend and it seems Spring may be in the air... although I won't get too excited we will get a few more snowfalls here I bet before Summer hits!

It's time for a new challenge at Dynamic Duos.. This week we're using Gumball Green and we get to pick the other color.  I choose Melon Mambo for my other color and I'm using the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I used the set Field Flowers, this is one of those sets I had to have and then I think I've used it twice..lol I guess we all have a set or two like that in our stash right?  I started with a Whisper White card base and then I added a panel that I stamped the flowers onto and trimmed with the scalloped ribbon border punched from Gumball Green.

Behind the flower panel I added a piece of Melon Mambo DSP and then some Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon. For the sentiment I stamped it in Melon Mambo and punched it out with the small oval punch and then a second one in Green that I matted the words with.

I stamped the flowers onto a piece of Whisper White in Melon Mambo and cut them out and adhered them with some dimensionals. I really like how this came out, the clean crisp look of the white card base with the Green and Pink is so pretty!

Head over to the Dynamic Duos challenge blog and see what the other Design Team members created and link up.. The challenge will be open until Thursday @ 12pm PST. The Freshly Made Sketches challenge is open until Monday @ 12pm PST.

Thanks for stopping by... Happy Stamping!
